SMM Lead Midday Review: Some Smelters Report Weak Downstream Inquiries, Difficulties in Refined Lead Transactions. SMM, March 26: Today, the SMM 1# lead average price increased by 25 yuan/mt to 17,300 yuan/mt compared to yesterday. Secondary refined lead suppliers followed the market trend, with mainstream supplies priced at a discount of 50-0 yuan/mt ex-factory against the SMM 1# lead average price. The largest discount remained in Hunan region, with a reduction of 150 yuan/mt against the average price.

SMM March 26 News:

The SMM 1# lead average price increased by 25 yuan/mt to 17,300 yuan/mt today. Suppliers of secondary refined lead followed the market trend, with mainstream supplies at a discount of 50-0 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price ex-factory. The larger discount was still in Hunan region, at a discount of 150 yuan/mt against the average price. Downstream battery producers were cautious about high prices and reluctant to purchase. Some smelters reported that downstream inquiries were not active, making transactions difficult.
